Mission & Vision
TRI Uttarakhand is on a mission to work for development of the tribal population of the state, preserve their cultural heritage, provide inputs to States for evidence based planning and appropriate legislations, capacity building of tribals and persons / institutions associated with tribal affairs, dissemination of information and creation of awareness.
Objectives
TRI is the major backbone for mainstreaming the tribes. It works as a resource of knowledge & research and acts as a think tank for tribal development of the state.
- To be centres of research excellence; amongst the best research institutions in the world
- To act as centres of innovation and creation of knowledge
- Providing planning inputs to the State Governments;
- Conducting research and evaluation studies;
- Collection of data, identify challenges in the field of socio-economic development of Tribals and understanding promoting and preserving their culture.
- Create an enabling ecosystem to enhance the spirit of research and innovation.
- To attract academically brilliant and stellar researchers from all over the world, and be valuable assets in India’s knowledge-driven economy
- Training and capacity building of stakeholders, knowledge advocacy that would help formulate evidence based policy and planning.
